Disk Doctor: System Cleaner App Reviews

Pretty much the title says it all. I am new to Disk Doctor, but because of the good reviews and a relatively new iMac, I got the app. So far I am very pleased with the way it is working. It is quick, seems complete, and has the appropriate warnings. It even told me it wouldn’t bug me for another review until it updated again(for FREE). Seems to work just fine and you can’t beat the price.

This is a very simple but also clear app as far as it comes to cleaning out your hard drive. It is very easy to see exactly what Disk Doctor is about to take on and erase from your disk (unless of course you modify that). Accidental delete is in my eyes impossible and I would defenitely recommend this application to everyone. Easy to understand and also very easy to use.

Great it cleaned up 7 gigs of Adobe Lightroom files to free up hard drive space which it consider Adobe Cache file but provided no detail. My several thousand files are now resyncing with Adobe Cloud. In the first run of the application I was purchased I was nagged to purchase the developers other software and asked 3 times to rate the software if you include the big “RATE” button built into the completion screen. Not impressed.. and I find the freeware OnyX much more useful, safe, and powerful.

Have used Disc Doctor for over 2 years without problems. Updated to new version. Cannot open Mozilla Firefox browser because updated Disc Doctor deleted my Firefox profile folder, despite the fact that I specified not to delete my Firefox and Mozilla files. To fix the problem, you have to go to finder menu/go (press option)/library/application support/firefox to delete the profiles.ini file, relaunch Firefox and then reset it the way you had it before, including importing your bookmarks, if you’ve save them. If you haven’t saved the bookmarks, they’re gone. BEWARE!!

Not worth its price. 99 cents would be more appropriate

For the program. I would deduct one star for a lame icon, but that seems petty.

Makes cleaning my digital house easy.

Great app! Cleans about 500 MB each time I use it. Can’t reccomend this enough.

The application is okay but they have afeatures ask to buy more

I have used the product in both the free and paid for arena. Both do what they say, my really only big issue is, I would like to select the particular files to deleted with the group. The price is worth it to keep my mac running smooth and quick.

Tried and tested product that simply delivers. No nonsense, cleans up space, I use it every few weeks and I get a few GB back. Ran it the first time and saved myself over 30 gigs. Easy to use, no complaints.

This app cleared 51 GB of stuff fro my computer! I highly recommend this to everyone.

It won’t allow my to select my data hard drive. And there is no way that I can find to switch the hard drive you want to scan once it selects the hard drive at the opening of the program. Very frustrating.

Works well but why am I seeing ads for your other apps in an app that I paid for?? Fix this please.

I updated my Disk Doctor when I got the notice on my updates. Then the app would not open at all. It said that I needed to trash and download again from the App store. When I did that the app store wanted me to purchase it again. So I went to the website for the company that made Disk Doctor and started to write them a note. But they said to restart machine. and so I did and everything worked again and I have the updated version of the Disk Doctor. Ran it and gained 90 GB of space. Wonderful.

Update Disk Doctor from v3.3 to v3.4 today. Quickly it removed 217.5 MB of files from my  Macintosh HD. [217.5 MB is _negligibe_ with a 483.11 GB hard disk, but _I_ like to keep things Clean. :-) ] Thank you, FIPLab.

This app does what it says quickly and completely I am still exploring its abilities. So far good.

This is a quality product that I can rely on to clean my disk. For the price, it is worth every penny. Keep up the good work with this app.
