Pretty Fire dawg
I purchased this application about 120 days ago. The app worked well and was very easy to use.The last version did not have an icon the ended with the . app. . code. I used to be able to run this program without switching from system preferences (start up drive function) to clean both the internal HD and my external drives. Now I have to switch settings to clean both drives. It feels like I am running an old Windows PC. Apple seems to be really going for the bucks and has forgotten about what made the company great. They are moving away from desktop computer functions to cell phone functions and seem to be creating apps that cause the user more redundent steps to reach an end as apposed to the functionality that made apple a grat company
If you think this is just another run of the mill app, your wrong, or “Oh good Grief”, not another 2 hour dupe or cleaner or something that could damage $ slow down my mac? No Charlie Brown, it won’t. It may not be hard, but it is fast, accurate, and can go deeper if you want and knows which files our normally wouldn’t delete, so you’re safe there too. Peace Charlie Brown
It’s very simple and effective. Thanks!
For the amount of space gained and the caches cleaned I could have done it for free.
Either keeping space free is something I do myself or the app is so basic it’s pointless. Don’t most people know to empty the trash, reset Safari, which is in the Safari drop down whenever it’s open, and to delete old files when you don’t need them anymore (espirally in iTunes)? I was hoping for a deep cleaning of useless files I don’t know how to reach. This is an app for the most un-knowledgeable of users. For those people it’s a good starter cleaning app.
HAVE USED THIS FOR 3 YEARS WITH NO PROBLEMS OR ISSUES. IT DOES ALL THAT IT STATES THAT IT DOES! DISK SPACE FREED UP. I USED THIS REGULARLY. I HAVE NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS EVER FROM THIS PRODUCT. i HAVE HAD PROBLEMS FROM OTHERS NOT REMOVING THE TRASH WHEN SELECTED.
Since my computer is a mid-2010 MacPro, I had to heed the warnings not to install the “El Capitan” system. The Disk Doctor upgrade would not work, so I uninstalled it and fished the old version out of my backup and reinstalled that. Then the next thing I know, the upgrade reinstalled itself again. I could not delete it from the app store. However fortunately, now it does work. I don’t want to give it 5 stars because it lacked giving me a choice whether to upgrade it again or not.
Use it frequently to clear out my browser caches.
Perfect for cleaning up drive space without spending tons of time trying to figure out where your space went.
Im a college student that deals with alot of audio and video files that take up the majority of the space on my macbook. This app really does help with managing files and cleaning up space that is much needed for me to complete my projects. I would recommend this to everyone in my position.
simple and active
I had to update it and it said I would have to pay again??? WHY
It seems to work but it needs a longer run for final judgement.Comes in handy.Starting to use app more offen.
Worth the price. Helped me clean over 25 gigabytes of Junk data. Definitely Great app. Helped me speed up my Mac.
Great, it works OK with your main drive. But it’s useless for external drives. And it’s not a “disk doctor,” it just gives you information that ANYONE could figure out after 10 minutes on the User Support Communities at Apple. It’s not giving me anythingj I don’t need. And it haphazardly erases every file that’s a cache. That’s not very useful. This app is overpriced for what it can and can’t do.
does what it is advertised
I would like to return this app - it is too basic. I would try their “Disk Aid” which is supposed to do a whole lot more. Not impressed with this one.
I expected to know what was taking up so much space on my computer and it didn’t supply the propper info. Cleaned up 4.5 GB of data when I still have 80 GB of “other” data I have no idea what is. Worked, but didn’t help the problem.
Price is great.
